❗️Statement by Hezbollah Operations Room concerning Israeli presence in the historic Beaufort (Al-Shaqif) Castle:

"Given the significant negative impact that the video footage broadcast by Hezbollah of its operations against the Israeli enemy army forces has had on the consciousness of the settlers within the occupation entity, the enemy army has desperately sought to obtain an image it could promote as a crushing victory, in the hope of calming the terror of the northern settlers. The target was the historic Beaufort (Al-Shaqif) Castle in southern Lebanon, located only about 4 kilometers from the Lebanese-Palestinian border.

Over a period of more than 5 days, the Israeli enemy launched a series of violent aerial attacks and heavy artillery bombardment on the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif and surrounding villages, aiming to control them and occupy Beaufort Castle. No sooner had it advanced toward the southern outskirts of the town than it faced heroic and fierce resistance and intense fire from the fighters of the Islamic Resistance, which prevented it from achieving its goal, forcing it to settle for taking refuge on the rugged eastern outskirts of the town.

At sunset on Saturday, 30 May, an Israeli infantry group infiltrated under a heavy smoke screen from the eastern side of Beaufort Castle via unmonitored paths. They reached the castle and took a set of photographs, which the enemy rushed to distribute on Sunday morning, claiming it had occupied the castle—noting that the castle was completely empty of any military presence of the Resistance.

From dawn yesterday until the time of issuing this statement, the enemy has been finding great difficulty in establishing its forces in the vicinity of the castle, where these forces are currently positioned near the rest area below the castle. Hezbollah is engaging in a war of attrition against the Israeli enemy army forces present in the area, and upcoming video footage will prove this."
