❗️Iran's IRGC says it struck source of new US attack on communications tower in Sirik

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that US forces targeted a communications tower in Sirik, in Iran's Hormozgan Province, earlier on Sunday.

In response, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force struck the air base from which the attack was launched, claiming that its designated targets were destroyed.

The IRGC warned that any repeat of US aggression would be met with a “completely different” response, adding that responsibility would lie with the “aggressor and child-killing US regime.”

According to the statement, the strike was carried out in retaliation for the attack on the communications tower.

The statement came after US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had carried out what it described as “self-defense strikes” against Iranian radar and drone sites in Gorouk and on Qeshm Island, claiming it was responding to “aggressive Iranian actions,” including the downing of a US drone. CENTCOM said it destroyed Iranian air defense systems, a ground control station, and two one-way attack drones.

Kuwait's military announced that its air defenses had intercepted "hostile missile and drone attacks," while air raid sirens sounded across the country despite the ongoing US-Iran ceasefire. The Kuwaiti Army said explosions heard by residents were the result of interception operations, indicating that the US attack may have originated from facilities in Kuwait.
