❗️Invading Israeli occupation forces raise flag at historic Beaufort Castle in south Lebanon

According to documentation released by Israeli occupation forces, troops have reportedly reached Qalaat al-Shaqif (Beaufort Castle), the historic hilltop fortress in Lebanon's Nabatieh Governorate, and raised both the Israeli flag and the Golani Brigade flag at the site.

Israeli media has boasted about returning to the strategic landmark 26 years after Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon, presenting the move as both a symbolic and military achievement.

Commentators described the castle's elevated position as an important defensive stronghold overlooking northern Israeli settlements and the surrounding region.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich described the return to Beaufort Castle as “correcting old mistakes,” while Israeli War Minister Israel Katz claimed the site is one of the most important strategic positions for protecting settlements in the Galilee. Katz said the capture of the castle sends a message that Israel’s enemies will lose their strategic positions “one after another.”
