❗️Italy cancels Kanye West concert over 'antisemitism' concerns

Italy has prohibited a Kanye West concert scheduled for July in the northern city of Reggio Emilia after concerns were raised by the local Jewish community, officials said on Saturday.

Local prefect Salvatore Angieri ordered the cancellations over public order and safety concerns, including the possibility of protests.

West, also known as Ye, has seen multiple shows canceled across Europe this summer.

Angieri said the decision followed requests from consumer rights group CODACONS and the Jewish communities in Modena and Reggio Emilia, which expressed particular concern about Ye.
