🇲🇲⚡️ — NEW: At least 55 people, including children, were killed and around 70 injured after a massive explosion occurred at a gelignite explosives warehouse in Kaungtup village, northeastern Myanmar, earlier today.

➡️ The explosion occurred at a warehouse controlled by the Ta'ang National Liberation Army, where gelignite explosives had been stored by the group’s economic department for use at mining and stone quarrying sites in Namhkam Township. The blast damaged more than 100 homes.

➡️ Rescue operations are ongoing, and the death toll is expected to rise.
