Several Israeli ministers known for backing ethnic cleansing and displacement of Palestinians participated in New York City's annual Israel Day Parade on 31 May 2026.

The ministers include Bezalel Smotrich and Amichai Eliyahu alongside 13 members of the Israeli parliament.

Smotrich calls for the depopulation and destruction of the the Gaza Strip. Eliyahu also suggested using nuclear weapons against the Gaza Strip and advocated for starving Palestinians by targeting food and fuel supplies.

During the event, Smotrich compared the parade to Jerusalem's annual Flag March, which has been associated with anti-Arab chants and attacks on Palestinians.
