Egypt has launched urgent diplomatic efforts to prevent the collapse of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, warning Israel that expanding its military occupation in Gaza Strip could derail peace efforts and reignite full-scale war.
According to an Egyptian intelligence source, intensive contacts are underway to restart negotiations before the end of the week.
This comes after Israeli war criminal Netanyahu ordered the military to expand Israeli-controlled areas in the Gaza Strip from 53% to 70%, a move mediators say violates the US-brokered October 2025 peace agreement.
