— 🇺🇸/🇮🇷 NEW: An American KC-135 aerial refueling tanker (identification 63-8028) was seen returning to the United Kingdom with heavy shrapnel damage, likely out of service
Interestingly, this specific tanker was stationed in Tel Aviv during the war, not in Saudi Arabia. So the plane was very likely hit by a cluster warhead or an airburst warhead on the ground at Ben Gurion Airport.
Another possibility is that this plane was struck by an Iranian surface-to-air missile, but managed to make an emergency landing.
