🇺🇸 The U.S. Air Force is requesting $5.03 billion for the development of the F-47 sixth-generation fighter, representing a 65% increase compared to Fiscal Year 2026.

The Next-Generation Air Superiority Fighter is entering the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase, with projected funding remaining above $3.2 billion annually through Fiscal Year 2030.

The EMD phase will run from Q2 2025 to Q4 2031. That means another six years of development and billions of dollars in funding before the aircraft conducts its first combat sortie.
