๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ชโŒ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡งโ€“ The UKโ€™s Sky News Group has ended its joint venture with Abu Dhabiโ€™s IMI, handing full control of Sky News Arabia to UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour, while retaining a brand licensing deal.

โžก๏ธ The exit follows a major scandal over the channel's biased coverage of the Sudan conflict. Sky News Arabia acted as a mouthpiece for the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group accused by the UN of genocide in Darfur. The breaking point occurred when the network whitewashed atrocities and sent a reporter who was filmed hugging an RSF commander. The move allows the UK broadcaster to distance itself from the scandal while continuing to profit from the brand.
