He had previously gotten into a confrontation with the flight crew after he was told to sit down after standing up as the plane was taxiing, then reached for a flight attendant at the front of the plane and tried to breach the cockpit as the plane was airborne.

Person on the flight reports that a source at the Dare County Regional Airport in Madison told them they are treating this as an attempted hijacking, and the FBI is on the way. In my opinion, this is likely precautionary.
