🇮🇱🇮🇷 Mossad's secret branch: ‘We are just getting started with Iran’
A newly revealed department of Israel’s Mossad is waging a psychological and influence war to bring down the Iranian regime from the inside, Israel Hayom reports.
Established in 2021, the Influence Operations Branch was opened immediately after David Barnea assumed his position as Mossad Chief.
💬 “Carrying out an influence operation that ultimately gets rid of someone is much cheaper and simpler than an assassination operation,” head of the Mossad Influence Operations Branch told Israel Hayom. “Today, the Mossad has already been responsible for the dismissal of quite a few senior officials in Iran."
The so-called “poison machine” operates on social media, based on fictitious accounts and spreading information intended to undermine Iran:
🔴 Hacking TV channels to broadcast speeches by President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, encouraging the Iranian masses to take to the streets during the US-Israeli strikes
🔴 Blurred photos were distributed to the media showing Mossad agents on Iranian soil on June 13, prompting Iran’s security agencies to launch a witch hunt
🔴 Establishing ties with influencers to spread misinformation
