During the active phase of the Iran war and up to the day after the ceasefire in April, the United Arab Emirates carried out tens of airstrikes on Iran — indicating a deeper cooperation with the US and Israel, the WSJ reported, citing sources.

The strikes, for which intelligence was provided by the US and Israel, targeted:

♦️ Qeshm and Abu Musa islands

♦️ Bandar Abbas

♦️ Lavan Island oil refinery

♦️ Asaluyeh petrochemical complex

In addition to the mass attacks, the Emirates backed drafts of a UN resolution that authorized the use of force to break Iran’s chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz.

The UAE also began targeting Iran’s financial interests in the country — closing Tehran-linked schools and clubs, as well as denying visas and transit rights to Iranian nationals.

In response, Iran repeatedly denounced the Emirates for joining the US-Israeli campaign.
