The Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense announce a new-old equation: if Israel’s cities are attacked, Dahieh will be attacked.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “There will not be a situation in which Hezbollah attacks our cities and citizens, and the terror headquarters in Dahieh remain off limits.”

Minister of Defense Israel Katz: “The same rule applies to Dahieh in Beirut as to the northern communities in Israel—if there is no quiet in the north, there will be no quiet in Beirut. We will not allow a reality in which our communities and citizens are harmed while calm is maintained in Beirut.”
