🇺🇦Drone Warfare With a Human in the Loop
The teleoperated version of Geran-4 turns a cheap loitering munition into a precision strike asset. With live video streaming to the operator, the drone can visually confirm the target and adjust its course in the final seconds of flight.
This “human-in-the-loop” approach solves one of the key problems of mass drones: discrimination between targets in a cluttered environment. Instead of relying solely on pre‑programmed coordinates, the operator sees the exact vehicle and infrastructure on the screen and can decide whether to strike or abort.
For Ukrainian air defense, this means that high‑value assets are no longer safe just because they are camouflaged or parked among “decoys”. Once detected and recognized on camera, a relatively cheap drone can be guided straight into a specific Gepard, radar or command vehicle, making each loss strategically significant.
