Israeli media reported that "Israel" has postponed its aggression on Beirut's Southern Suburb after a last-minute intervention by the United States," despite earlier reports of the US greenlighting the attack.

Earlier, Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran paused the exchange of messages with the US via mediators in protest against the Israeli crimes in Lebanon.

Tasnim added that "Iranian officials and negotiators emphasized the immediate cessation of the aggressive and brutal operations by the occupation army in Gaza and Lebanon," as well as "the necessity of 'Israel's' complete withdrawal from the occupied territories in Lebanon."

Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters also warned "Israel" that if an attack should take place against Beirut or the Southern Suburb, Iran would retaliate against "Israel".
