During the initial phase of the negotiations, the Americans demanded that Iran's nuclear materials be transferred to the United States, a request that was rejected, Saeid Ajorloo, a member of the media team close to the Iranian negotiating delegation, said on Monday.

In the latest revised draft sent by the United States, he added, the issue of transferring or disposing of the materials was no longer raised.

Instead, Ajorloo explained, references were limited to phrases such as “determining the status,” “the fate of the materials,” or “resolving the issue of the materials.”

With regard to the nuclear materials, he stressed, Iran will not provide any commitment based on their disposal or transfer to the United States.

According to Ajorloo, as for the Strait of Hormuz, some disagreements remain, with Iran insisting that its administration must remain under Iranian control.
