Delivering remarks before the start of the session that marks the beginning of the Council’s third year, Iran's Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, asserted, "We regard the message of the Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic [Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei] as a definitive framework for our future and a roadmap for the 12th Shura Council."

Ghalibaf also affirmed that Iran will "strive to ensure that the Council’s actions are directly and clearly relevant to the country’s key issues and the needs of the people and to focus on fostering hope and shaping the future by charting a stable course for the economy and people’s livelihoods."
