Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in South Lebanon reported that Israeli occupation forces have reached al-Shaqif fortress after battles in South Lebanon entered their fourth month, marking one of the longest and most delayed advances ever in the history of the struggle against the Israeli occupation.

Our correspondent detailed that an Israeli infantry unit reached the al-Shaqif fortress in an area located no more than 3 kilometers from the border via a flanking route from the direction of Deir Mimas.

The fact that the Israeli occupation army reached al-Shaqif fortress doesn't mean in any way that its forces are safe from Resistance fire, our correspondent stressed.
