In its first statement of the day, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced an operation on May 29, 2026, intercepting an Israeli Hermes 450 - Zik - drone over Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in South Lebanon, using a surface-to-air missile.
The Resistance affirmed that the operation came in defense of Lebanon and its people and in response to "Israel's" violations of the ceasefire agreement.
