Iranian State Television, citing the IRGC, announced that 24 vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours in coordination with the IRGC and Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A larger number of ships currently hold transit permits, but only a fixed number are allowed to pass each day in order to prevent maritime congestion, according to the IRGC.
The IRGC Navy's measures have ensured the security of vessels moving through the Strait along the route designated by Iran, the statement asserted.
